Beginners/Level 1
You should have a strong interest in fashion pattern cutting and sewing. No previous experience required.
Intermediate-Beginners/Level 2
You should have completed level 1 and have an understanding of dart manipulation and used a sewing machine previously.
Advanced/Level 3
The courses/membership are designed for learners who have progressed through all previous levels.
You must be confident speaking and reading English to a conversational level
E-learning is the delivery of learning and training by electronic means.
E-course is an online class/instructions delivered over time delivered virtually and can be ‘Instructor-led.
Yes, You will also need specialist tools and equipment to progress with a course, these are an investment, they can last you many years. It is assumed that you have your own domestic/industrial sewing machine.
Learners receive training from fashion educators who combine working in the fashion industry and teaching on fashion courses.
‘Instructor-led’ means there is an instructor in the course who is available to answer any questions or concerns.
Each online course has a suggested completion time, i.e. 12 weeks/months.
Yes. Each workshop or course is priced individually.
Yes. Lecturers are available to answer questions inside your private member’s area.
‘Self-paced’ means you go at your own pace.
Everybody works at a different pace. The courses vary in the time it takes for individuals to complete each module.
Your online course starts once you have registered.
Yes, you can contact your lecturer by logging into your account.
Yes, all financial information is securely encrypted during transmission and securely stored. All transmissions of sensitive information are encrypted using HTTPS and an SSL (Secure Sockets Layer).
Cancel Yearly Access
The 12 months plan requires a yearly payment for a one-year commitment. It provides the flexibility to receive long term support. Early termination will be subject to a recalculation of payments for the months you used. To cancel a one-year subscription, log into your member's account and contact us. If cancelled, a one-year subscription can't be restarted; you will have to purchase a new subscription to access again.
Cancel Monthly Access
The monthly plan provides the flexibility of a short term commitment that allows you to cancel when you need too. To cancel a monthly subscription, log into your member's account and follow the onscreen instructions or contact us. If cancelled, a monthly subscription can't be restarted; you will have to purchase a new subscription to access again.
Refund Policy
1st Class Patterns does not provide refunds on digital products. Due to the nature of our products - membership subscription, online courses, workshops or digital block patterns refunds are not available, so be sure we're a good fit before you purchase!
Payment is taken as soon as you complete registration for the digital products. For course/membership subscription you will be billed monthly or yearly (depending on which option you chose).
You will not receive any partial credit if you cancel your course/membership before its term ends.
