If you don’t have narrow styling tape to hand when draping on the stand, you could use this cotton stay tape above. It’s slightly thicker (4-5 mm width) than the styling tape, so make sure that you remember if you’re using the top or lower edge of the tape when marking off your style lines, ie: I would mark the top edge of the tape as my finished line and under the bust cup as my finished line.

I absolutely love this sticky coloured 3mm wide styling tapes below. This is very useful for when you’re marking out ie: the lining shape, the corset and the main garment shape on the dress stand. The different colours save you a lot of confusion.
